Originally from South Florida, I now call Southern Missouri my home, where I live with my husband, daughter, and our four-legged extended family: three horses, three cats, a donkey, and our dog, Beau.
Crafting has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Whether I was creating something just for fun or making a meaningful gift for someone special, it has always brought me so much joy! Now I’m excited to share these fun and creative pieces beyond my hometown - making handmade creations to anyone, anywhere through my online store.
Sweet Beginnings
Soapy Mess began with a simple yet unforgettable moment when my daughter was about six-and-a-half years old. One day, she came to me with a big idea: she wanted to start her own business. When I asked her what she wanted to sell, she confidently said, “Soaps, bath salts, and bath bombs.”
I told her that every business needs a name, and about twenty minutes later, she came back with one, along with a hand-drawn logo she created all by herself. Not long after, she returned with another drawing: a sweet bumblebee and a cute, little bunny whom we named Bumba and Lilly.
That little moment of creativity became the spark that started it all.
Today, my daughter is grown and still by my side, joining me at shows and markets. Her original hand-drawn logo hangs proudly in the craft room - a beautiful reminder of where it all began and the heart behind every creation.
